The latest regulations for compost in Canada focus very strongly on the levels of maturity that are achieved by the composting process.  As a result many static composting projects ar finding they require far more space and to compost material for far longer in order to achieve these.

Testing has shown that 2 weeks in the HotRot In-Vessel Composting machine is the equivalent to more than 6 in a static pile.  For this reason New Era Solutions chose to install a HotRot machine, converting the tunnel composting system into a maturation area.

The project was successful in significantly decreasing the time taken for compost to reach maturity and ensure ongoing compliance with Canadian regulations.
