Glasgow Fruit & Veg Market HotRot Units Achieve PAS 100 certification

Glasgow City Markets, operators of two HotRot 1811 units, were recently awarded PAS 100 certification for their composted product.  PAS 100 is the British standard covering the entire process by which compost is produced.  It addresses raw materials and production methods, through to quality control and lab testing.  It means that the certified composts are quality assured, traceable, safe and reliable.

Glasgow is one of the largest horticultural wholesale markets in the UK, with a customer base covering the whole of Scotland and extending into Northern England.  The two units are used for processing damaged and date lapsed produce from its extensive fruit, vegetable and fish markets.
