New Plants Go Live

CFS 1
HotRot’s two new installations in Kent and Norfolk mean that company now has five UK facilities.

2011 was a defining year for HotRot Organic Solutions. It  firmly established itself as one of the major players in the treatment of organic material in the UK, following the opening of two new facilities in Kent and Norfolk.

In May HotRot completed the construction of a new composting facility for CFS Limited in Kingsnorth, Kent.  The £2 million installation consists of two HotRot 3518 In-Vessel Composting (IVC) units for the treatment of sewage washings and the grits and screenings from Sewage Treatment Works (STW) in the Thames and Southern Water Regions.

The second major achievement in 2011 was the completion of Phase One of a £1.8 million project to install a Tunnel Composting and Maturation Facility for Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) Ltd.

With three existing and two new facilities up and running, HotRot is accelerating its growth to meet its ambitious plans for the UK. James Lloyd, Managing Director of HotRot Organic Solutions Ltd, said:

“Having launched the technology in New Zealand, we are now carving out a niche as the UK’s leader in ‘OdourFreeTM’ composting technology which, combined with our anaerobic digestion technologies and ‘leachate free’ composting systems, differentiates us from other competitors in the marketplace.”
