Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) Ltd  Food & Green Waste Treatment at Marsham, Norwich, Norfolk

In August 2011, HotRot Organic Solutions Ltd, completed the installation of a Tunnel Composting & Maturation Facility jointly with Morgan Sindall for Norfolk Environmental Waste Services (NEWS) Ltd.  The facility consists of a Waste Reception Building, 8 Composting Tunnels (providing a 2 stage ‘barrier’ treatment) and extensive forced air maturation bays for ABPR waste & Green waste.  The facility is currently undergoing commissioning to ensure that the strict environmental regulations are adhered to.  Phase (1) of the £1.8m technology element will process between 15,000 and peaks of 20,000 tpa of locally generated organic waste, primarily green garden waste, along with some kitchen /catering waste.   When Phase 2 is complete the plant will be capable of processing up to 45,000 tpa.
